Terms of service

Effective October 14, 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and Zeno Services, LLC, a New York limited liability company ("we"), for your use of Zeno: the website at zenonest.com, the app at app.zenonest.com, and the connector at api.zenonest.com (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them.

What Zeno is

Zeno keeps a record of your household's money, forecasts it, and offers guidance through the AI assistant you connect. It's an organizing and planning tool for your own household cash flow.

Not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Forecasts are estimates, with ranges, built from the information you provide, and they can be wrong. Guidance is general and educational. You make your own decisions and are responsible for them. For advice about your particular situation, talk to a qualified professional. If you're struggling to cover essentials, seek human help: a nonprofit credit counselor, a local assistance program, or the people you trust.

Zeno can't move money, make payments, borrow, or contact your creditors, and it doesn't do these things.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter this agreement.
  • During the pilot, accounts are by invitation. Keep your password and access tokens secret; you're responsible for activity under them. Revoke a token you no longer trust.
  • Give accurate information. The forecast is only as good as what it's given.

Your assistant

When you connect an AI assistant, it acts on your instructions, and its provider's terms and privacy policy apply to your use of it. Assistants can make mistakes. Zeno saves what an assistant infers as a proposal until you confirm it, and changing your Plan needs your explicit say-so. Still, review what your assistant does on your behalf.

Your data

Your household data belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no breaking in or probing other households' data, no interfering with its operation, no using it to break the law, and no reselling access. Use only data you have the right to use.

Price

The service is free during the pilot. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

Changes and ending

We may change or discontinue features. You can stop using Zeno and ask us to delete your data at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and where we can, we'll tell you why. If we shut the service down, we'll give you notice and a way to get a copy of your data.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of forecasts. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Zeno Services, LLC won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for losses from decisions you make using the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

Law

New York law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in New York County, New York, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them locally.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell signed-in users before the change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
