Zeno Services, LLC operates Zeno and is responsible for your information. The same company operates other Zeno products (zenofirm.com, zenorent.com and zenobudget.com). They're separate services, and using one doesn't share your Zeno data with another.
The short version
Zeno keeps the household money picture you and your assistant give it, so it can forecast and guide. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't train AI models on it. It's shared only with the service providers that run Zeno, and with the assistant you connect, when you use it.
What we collect
Your account
Your name, your email address, your password in hashed form, and session records that keep you signed in.
Your household's money picture
What you or your assistant enters: account names, types, balances, and for debts the rate, minimum payment and a note; scheduled income and bills; transactions (date, amount, description, category); your Plan and its history; debt and lifetime plans, with the names and birth years of the people you add; life events; check-ins, commitments and decisions; how satisfied you say you feel about each need; and the facts, priorities and patterns you confirm. We don't collect bank usernames, passwords, or account or routing numbers, and our connector tells assistants not to send them.
Bank data your assistant brings in
Zeno doesn't connect to banks itself. If your bank is connected in your assistant (for example in Meta's Muse) and you ask it to, your assistant copies posted transactions and current balances into Zeno. What we receive is limited to the fields listed above. Your bank connection and its data stay governed by your assistant's provider.
Assistant connections
The access tokens you create (stored as hashes), their labels, and when each was last used. When an assistant calls Zeno, we receive only that call's inputs, which are what's needed to answer it. We don't receive or store the rest of your conversation.
Operational logs
Time, IP address, request path and result, used to run, debug and secure the service.
This website
zenonest.com doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies.
Why we use it
To provide Zeno: keeping your records, forecasting, answering your assistant's questions, showing you the app, keeping the service secure, responding to support requests, and meeting legal obligations. Nothing else.
AI and your data
Zeno doesn't train AI models, and we don't let our providers use your data for training. You choose the assistant you connect, and that assistant and its provider handle your conversation under their own terms and privacy policy: Meta for Muse, and later Anthropic for Claude and OpenAI for ChatGPT. Zeno never sends your data to an AI provider on its own. Data reaches one only because you connected it and used it.
Who we share it with
- The assistant you connect, in answer to its requests, as described above.
- Infrastructure providers that host the app, database and website: Hetzner (servers in Ashburn, Virginia) and Cloudflare (this website and DNS).
- Legal and safety recipients, where the law requires it or to protect our users, the public or the service.
- A successor, if Zeno is part of a merger or sale, under this policy.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Your account and household records: while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your household and its records within 30 days.
- Revoked tokens: their hashes are kept for the life of the account, so a revoked token can never work again.
- Operational logs: no longer than 12 months.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days, until they're replaced.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct: everything Zeno knows about you is in the app. You can reword or reject any of it, and change any account, bill or plan.
- Disconnect an assistant: revoke its token in Settings. It stops working immediately.
- Get a copy or delete: email support@zenonest.com from the address you sign in with. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law. Ask us and we'll honor them.
Children
Zeno is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Some households list a child's name and birth year in the lifetime planner. The adult account holder chooses to add that, and it's used only for their plan.
Security
See Security for how access works and where data lives. No system is perfectly secure. If an incident ever affects your data, we'll tell you promptly.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell signed-in users before it takes effect, and we'll update the date at the top.
